Join us for this hands-on workshop where participants will learn the Japanese gardening technique of Kokedama -- in english, literally "moss ball" -- using orchids. The perfect Mother’s Day activity, this guided activity will have participants prepare a beautiful orchid plant in the round under the guidance of Vizcaya's own Orchid Specialist, Timothy Heslop. Timothy is well known for his talent and experience in orchid and floral arrangements.
This event is limited to Vizcaya Members only. Each participant ticket includes admission to the estate following the program and an orchid to take home. Spectator tickets are available for individuals who will be joining a participant but will not have hands-on access to the orchid kokedama during the workshop. This activity is most appropriate for adults and children over 7 years of age. Not recommended for younger children.
