Join us for a one-of-a-kind event in honor of third and final installment of Processional Arts Workshops summer residency at Vizcaya. Join us for FLOAT, an illuminated parade that explore the depths of Vizcaya’s past and present connection to the Sea.
Through oversized illuminated lanterns, the parade will illustrate the journey of James Deering, Vizcaya’s founder, from agricultural heartland to untamed seascape while conjuring his vision of Vizcaya as a nautical fantasy.
This never-before-seen performance will travel from Vizcaya Village across South Miami Avenue to the Main House side of the estate in front of Biscayne Bay.

This program requires participants to walk and be on their feet for an extended period of time. The path of the procession will take us from Vizcaya Village, across South Miami Avenue, to the waterfront gardens of Vizcaya. Guests are encouraged to use wear flat, closed-toed shoes with traction.
Also, please note that portions of the historic Vizcaya estate are not wheelchair accessible and include steps, coarse coral stone and gravel, which may be challenging for persons with limited mobility.
