Living in 1920s Miami - 11:30 a.m. | 1:30 p.m.

This Main House tour gives insight into what life was like at Vizcaya from the perspective of James Deering, his staff and guests in Miami.

INFORMATION ABOUT TOURS:

Main House tours meet in the Courtyard. Please arrive in the Courtyard 5 minutes prior to the tour to meet with the guide. The tour covers select areas of the first floor. Tour participants may visit other areas and the second floor before or after the guided tour. 

Other time options and thematic tours that are not available online may be available to purchase onsite on a first come first serve basis. 

**Tours are available online up to 2 weeks in advance. 

**All tours are subject to availability and may also be purchased at the Admissions Booth day-of.

• The Cafe & Gift Shop are open. Picnicking is not permitted.
• Please be advised that not all of Vizcaya's gardens or areas are accessible or available at all times due to restoration, programs, event rentals or unforeseen circumstances. 
• Bring an umbrella. As we are an historic property, we have limited covered areas, so please prepare for the weather.
• Discounted tickets must be purchased onsite at the Admissions Booth, including persons with a disability protected under the ADA and one accompanying caregiver, and US Military Veterans and Active Duty US Military personnel with ID.

Tickets are not timed. We allow entry to the estate from 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., the Main House remains open until 5:00 p.m. and the Gardens until 5:30 p.m.

Know Before You Purchase

• Select your preferred date for your photo shoot using the button above.
• A $25 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance—$225 plus tax for a weekday permit or $325 plus tax for a weekend permit (Saturday and Sunday)—is due upon arrival at Admissions, along with any additional guest tickets. All fees are non-refundable, and permits are issued "rain or shine."
• The Photography Permit covers entry for up to five (5) people, including the client and photographer. Any additional Photography Permit Guests will be charged $29 per person at Admissions upon check-in. No discounts apply.
• Wagons, luggage, or wheeled carriers are not permitted. However, re-entry to your vehicle is allowed on an as-needed basis—please notify Admissions if you need to return to your car.
• Only one permit is required per party. Each permit is valid for a single photo session for one client only.

Know Before You Go

• Vizcaya is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. The gardens remain open until 5:30 p.m.
• This permit grants access to the gardens only and does not include entry to the Main House.
• Prior to your visit, please review our Rules and Regulations. By purchasing a permit, both the client and photographer must acknowledge and agree to these terms.
• Failure to comply with Vizcaya’s rules may result in removal from the property without a refund.
• The Café & Gift Shop are open, but picnicking is not permitted.
• As this is an outdoor-only experience, we recommend bringing an umbrella for sun or rain protection, as there are limited covered areas in the gardens.
• Please note that some areas of the gardens may be inaccessible or unavailable due to restoration projects, programs, private events, or other unforeseen circumstances.

PREMIUM SUNRISE PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY reservations provide you with entry to the gardens on the date of reservation at 7:00 a.m. for sunrise photography. Guests with reservations may stay on the property until the gardens close at 5:30 p.m. This premium experience is scheduled for sunrise hours, and prior to the estate opening to the public, therefore photographers and their clients have less interrupted access with the site. 

KNOW BEFORE YOU PURCHASE:

• Premium Photography Permits cannot be transferred to a week day Photography Permit.
• Limited space is available for Premium Photography Shoots.
• Wagons or any luggage or wheeled carriers are not permitted. However, we may permit re-entry to your vehicles on an as-needed basis. Individuals must inform Admissions or Security of their intent to return.
• The Premium Portrait Photography fee provides entry for up to 5 people, including the client and the photographer. Larger groups are not permitted before 9:30am. 
• Please be advised that not all of Vizcaya's gardens or areas are accessible or available at all times due to restoration, programs, event rentals or unforeseen circumstances.
• Only one permit per party is required.

• If you do not comply with the rules and regulations, you may be asked to leave Vizcaya's premises and forfeit your payment.

• As this is an outdoor-only experience, bring your own umbrella. There are few areas for coverage in the gardens. While visiting, be aware and cautious of the uneven terrain and steps throughout the estate.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS: 

Premium Permits may be transferred 1 time to a new available date within 90 days of the original reservation date. If a visitor wishes to reschedule a second time or requests a change of date within 48 hours of the reservations date: 20% of the permit price is forfeited as a cancellation fee. The visitor would need to book a new date on Vizcaya.org.

Gardens tour meets in front of the Main House. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 5 minutes prior to the tour to meet with the guide. The tour covers select areas of the gardens. Tour participants may visit other areas before or after the guided tour. 

Tours are available to purchase onsite on a first come first serve basis. 

**All tours are subject to availability and may also be purchased at the Admissions Booth day-of. 

PREMIUM INDOOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY reservations provide you with entry to the gardens on the date of reservation at 7:00 a.m. for nearly private access to the property for sunrise photography and staff guided access of the Main House for indoor photography on the first floor from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. We ask that permit holders please adhere strictly to this schedule. In order to best protect and conserve Vizcaya's Main House we cannot allow photoshoots to take place after we open to all visitors at 9:30 a.m. Photographers and their clients have less interrupted access to the site and rare exclusive access to indoor areas such as the Enclosed Loggia, Main Staircase, and Courtyard.
